Bangalore: Boy commits suicide over poor marks

BANGALORE: A 15-year-old boy committed suicide after his mother pulled him up over low scores in his class VIII exam on Tuesday. Stalin S, who was studying in Sarvodaya High School near K R Puram, was found hanging in his room by his mother at their residence in Devasandra.According to the police, Stalin, who had gone to school to check his results on Tuesday, was depressed over low marks in a few subjects.His mother Mary, who works as a teacher in Penin School, allegedly told Stalin, Arent you ashamed of scoring low marks being the son of a teacher?At around 11 am, after his mother had gone out to buy provisions, Stalin hanged himself. Mary, who after returning, was shocked to see her son hanging, immediately shifted him to a government hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. K R Puram police have registered a case. His father Sagay is employed with Airtel.
