New Delhi: Army Chief General VK Singh would attend his last major function in official capacity on Wednesday. He will be the chief guest at the National Defence Academy's passing out parade at Khadakvasla near Pune. Gen Singh retires from office on Thursday.
Earlier, Gen Singh said that the Indian Army is in a much better state now than when he took over as Chief of Army Staff (COAS) 21 months back. He said that the army is much more transparent, confident now and has addressed issued which were never discussed before.
Speaking exclusively to CNN-IBN, he said that he decided to withdraw his petition on the age row when he realised that he was up against the entire system.
