Kharkiv: Netherlands defender Joris Mathijsen and playmaker Wesley Sneijder are both expected to be available for their side's Group B encounter with Germany on Wednesday after completing a training session on Sunday.
The Malaga stopper has been struggling with a hamstring injury which ruled him out of the Oranje's opening match against Denmark on Saturday.
The Dutch starting XI that lost 1-0 to Morten Olsens men had a short and peaceful training session, while Mathijsen trained for the full session with the substitutes.
Coach Bert van Marwijk revealed in a press conference on Friday that he was confident that the 32-year-old would be available to face Germany.
He told reporters: "It is going well for him, he is making progress and after speaking with the medical staff I have decided to keep him in the team."
Meanwhile, Sneijder, who had complained of a pain in his leg after the match and held long discussions with Van Marwijk, trained individually.
