New Delhi: The merchant ship suspected to be involved in the collision with a fishing boat off the Kerala coast which killed 2 Indian fishermen has been identified.
Sources in the Directorate General Shipping (DGS) said that a coastguard identified the ship based on suspicion.
"Ship owner was asked to bring the ship to Kochi for further probe. The ship allegedly collided with fishing boat killing 2 fishermen. Ship was on its way from Goa to Singapore," they said.
Two Indian fishermen were killed and four are still missing after the collision that took place on Thursday morning.
