The cast of Karan Johar's Student of the Year looks fresh out of college and would nicely fit in inside any classroom. They are a special bunch that has famous parents in the industry. Debuting this year in the youth film is Alia Bhatt, daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, son of director David Dhawan, newcomer Siddharth Malhotra and Boman Irani's son Kayoze Irani.
Johar tweeted pictures of the cast. Both Malhotra and Dhawan have worked under Johar during the making of the 2010 film My Name is Khan. They share a great rapport with each other. Their illustrious parents notwithstanding, the year end will see four new faces living the big dream on celluloid.
Rishi Kapoor is also among the cast. He is apparently portraying the role of a gay Dean in the film. It is meant to be light and frothy and a launching pad for the sons and daughter of three of Bollywood's most prominent professionals.
We might just have the next generation of stars in the making this December. Remember Shah Rukh Khan chasing Kajol across the world in Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge? This could be their dream too.
